A football season follows a structured format where teams compete throughout the year to achieve the highest position in the league table. In the Premier League, 20 clubs take part, and each team plays 38 matches, including 19 home games and 19 away games. Teams earn 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. The league position is decided by total points, followed by goal difference and goals scored if teams have equal points.
At the end of the season, the team finishing in first place becomes the Premier League champion. The top teams usually qualify for European competitions such as the UEFA Champions League, while the bottom three teams are relegated to the Championship. During the season, clubs can strengthen their squads through transfer windows, and all players must follow league registration and eligibility rules.
